Staff at GB Innomech (Innomech) – a company specialising in the development of advanced automation systems for the pharmaceutical, medical device and environmental sectors – joined with customers, suppliers and other guests at a special event today to celebrate the company receiving The Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2009.
The event opened with a tour of The Innovation Centre – Innomech’s headquarters which landed three awards for its environmentally-friendly design when it was completed five years ago – followed by a speech from Mr Hugh Duberly CBE, Lord Lieutenant for Cambridgeshire. Mr Duberly praised the company for its sustained growth in international trade, for winning the highest award that can be given to any UK business and then, as The Queen’s official representative, presented a special lead crystal bowl to David Beale, Innomech’s chairman and founder.
Steve Robertson, managing director said: “The Queen’s Award is the direct result of everyone working closely with our customers and suppliers in developing breakthrough performance equipment and to provide excellent after-sales support. Today’s event has been the perfect opportunity to say ‘thank you’.”
